Roger Szemraj is Counsel at Olsson Frank Weeda Terman Bode Matz P.C. Mr. Szemraj has more than 30 years experience on Capitol Hill, concentrating on agriculture including agricultural appropriations; Farm Bills; food assistance programs; international food aid and development programs; food safety issues; trade issues; biofuel opportunities; and research programs. He has served as chief of staff to Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur of Ohio (senior member of the House Appropriations Committee and the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee), former Congressman Bob Traxler of Michigan (former chairman of the Veterans, HUD, and Independent Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee, as well as former majority ranking member of the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee), and former Congressman Jim Barcia of Michigan. Mr. Szemraj was born in Buffalo, New York. He received his B.S.F.S. from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1975, and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1982. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
