FDA Issues New Bioterrorism Safety Final Regulations

Affects Nearly All Food Companies Doing Business in the U.S.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued two interim final regulations requiring:

• Registration of food facilities
• Prior notice of imported food shipments

These interim regulations go into effect on December 12, 2003.
