Meet the OFW Law Cannabis Team

Below we introduce OFW Law’s newest practice group focused on Cannabis.

 

Tish Eggleston Pahl is a Principal at OFW Law. Ms. Pahl is highly experienced counsel to trade associations, and drug, cosmetic, dietary supplement, and food companies.  She assists clients interested in manufacturing and marketing human and animal prescription and over-the-counter drugs, dietary supplements, cannabis, and cosmetics and counsels on supply chain logistics. Ms. Pahl has in-depth knowledge on cannabis, cannabidiol (CBD), medical marijuana, and hemp regulations and has counseled industry regarding cannabis and cannabis-derivates under the federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) and the Farm Bill, among others. Ms. Pahl closely monitors Federal cannabis legislation and regulatory policy and is a frequent and popular speaker on cannabis matters.

 

Kyla Kaplan is an Associate Attorney at OFW Law. She has experience supporting and educating clients on legal pathways regarding cannabis and cannabis-derivatives. Ms. Kaplan is well-versed in cannabis regulatory matters under the FD&C Act, the Farm Bill, and other substance laws. She is able to provide a wide variety of clients with research, regulatory advice, advocacy, and intellectual property counsel in the continuously developing world of cannabis.  She also closely monitors federal cannabis pronouncements to provide timely analysis for clients.  Ms. Kaplan also teaches a seminar course, “Introduction to Food Law and Policy,” at George Mason Antonin Scalia Law School, where she also addresses the complexities of cannabis law.   

 

Denise Calle is a Senior Associate Attorney at OFW Law specializing in customs and international trade law. She represents entities throughout foreign and domestic supply chains in compliance and enforcement matters relating to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as other federal agencies. With her vast experience in the importation of U.S.-regulated goods, Ms. Calle provides robust U.S. regulatory advice to clients seeking to enter the cannabis and cannabis derivatives markets.  Ms. Calle is fluent in Spanish.


Benjamin (“Ben”) Dash is a Policy Advisor at OFW Law. Mr. Dash helps clients navigate Capitol Hill and advocates for policy related to food, agriculture, international trade, and drugs. Ben’s skillset enables him to effectively research, write, and develop political strategies for the cannabis and cannabis-related products industry. A former strategy consultant, Ben works with clients to craft successful near- and long-term approaches. Ben is eager to tackle new challenges in the ever-expanding and changing world of cannabis policy.
